Campus Dining
A dining membership is required for freshman students living in the residence halls. There are two reasons freshmen must have a dining membership: first, the residence halls do not have sufficient kitchen facilities. More importantly, meals are a very important component of your integration and involvement in a broader campus life. The dining facilities offer another opportunity for you to meet new friends and spend time with people you know away from your residence or classroom. While not required to purchase a dining membership, students with sophomore status and upperclassmen living in the residence halls often find the variety of dining memberships convenient and worthwhile.
Your dining membership applies to Taos Restaurant in the lower level of the Corbett Center Student Union. Unlimited food service in the Taos Restaurant is continuous during operating hours and menu offerings will change throughout the day. Your choices will vary widely, including fresh fruits and vegetables, home-style entrees, and made-to-order foods and beverages. Nutritional information for standard recipes used by Campus Dining Services is available upon request at the Dining Services Office, located in Corbett Student Union Center, Room 130. If you subscribe to a particular diet for health-related reasons or because you have a food allergy, Dining Services personnel will make every effort to accommodate your needs. It is important to discuss these needs ahead of time, simply make an appointment with the Dining Services Director by calling 646-4801.
Your NMSU Aggie ID Card is your meal ticket. Be sure to take your Aggie ID Card with you each time you visit the dining hall or intend to use some of your flex money at another campus dining location. The ID Card Office is located on the lower level of Corbett Center Student Union, across from Taos Restaurant.
There are many advantages to having a dining membership. Besides a significant cost-savings, you'll find a variety of nutritious and great-tasting foods without the hassles of shopping, cooking or cleaning up. Enjoy monthly theme buffets that feature entertainment, great food, door prizes and lots of fun! Visit the Campus Dining Services website to learn more.
