Spring 2013 Move-In Information

NEW RESIDENTS
On-Campus housing will open at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2013. If you need to check into your residential community before January 13th, please see the Early Arrival Request information below.

North Campus:

• Residents checking into Pinon, Garcia, Monagle or Rhodes Garrett Hamiel
• Please check in at the North Campus Operations Center located in the Garcia Hall lobby. Further information and room keys will be issued here. Please remember to bring a photo ID.

South Campus:

• Residents checking into Vista Del Monte Apartments or Cervantes Village
• Please check in at the South Campus Residential Life Office located in unit N-1 in the Vista Del Monte Apartment complex. Further information and room keys will be issued here. Please remember to bring a photo ID.

• Residents checking into Chamisa Village Apartments
• Please check in at the Chamisa Villages lobby. Further information and room keys will be issued here. Please remember to bring a photo ID.

Dining services will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on January 13th. Regular hours will resume on Monday, January 14, 2013. Please visit www.nmsu.edu/~dining for more information.

RETURNING RESIDENTS
As a current resident, your housing agreement provides you with services for the full academic year. To have everything remain the same from fall to spring, you need not do anything at all. Your current assignment will continue automatically. Charges will be assessed to your student account during the spring pre-registration process.

North Campus:

• Pinon, Garcia, Monagle & Rhodes Garrett Hamiel close on Saturday, December 15th at 12 p.m.
• You may resume residence beginning at 8:00 am on Sunday, January 13, 2013. If you need to return before January 13th, please contact the Department of Housing and Residential Life by email housing@nmsu.edu prior to your arrival to make arrangements.
• University administrative offices will resume regular business hours beginning on January 2nd, 2013. Please contact individual offices accordingly for assistance.
• Dining services will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on January 13th. Regular hours will resume on Monday, January 14, 2013. Please visit www.nmsu.edu/~dining for more information.
• Don’t forget to bring your keys!

South Campus:

• Residents of Vista del Monte, Cervantes Village, Chamisa Village and all Student Family Housing residents do not need to vacate for the winter break.
• University administrative offices will resume regular business hours beginning on January 2nd, 2013. Please contact individual offices accordingly for assistance.

Early Arrival Requests
New or returning residents who need to return to campus residence facilities before January 13th must make arrangements by contacting the Department of Housing and Residential Life prior to arrival. Only residents who have made prior arrangements will be allowed to return before January 13th. Please note that an additional daily charge will be assessed for early arrivals. Please email housing@nmsu.edu to request an early arrival appointment.

Garcia Consolidation
Due to decreased demand for space this semester, we will be consolidating rooms in Garcia Hall.  All rooms on the third floor of patios C and D will be reassigned. The iD LLC has been reassigned to Patio A, Floor 2 and the PGM LLC has been reassigned to Patio C, Floor 2. All other students living on the third floor of patios C and D may work with their Resident Director to find a new space.

If you are a student currently living on the third floor of patios C and D, please check your nmsu email for further instruction.
