Travel Information

Below are some resources for any faculty, staff or student who will be traveling outside of the U.S.

  1. U.S. State Department current travel warnings at http://travel.state.gov/warnings_list.html. This website has a listing of countries with specific travel information provided for each country.

  2. Health Risks – Current CDC advisories for faculty, staff and students traveling to areas affected by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) at http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/sars/travel.htm.

Information is also available for visitors being hosted by NMSU from areas affected by SARS at http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/sars/hostingarrivals.htm.

  3. Tips for Travelers and Students Studying Abroad

  4. Overseas Emergency Information Sheet (online form) – it is highly recommended that all faculty, staff and students traveling internationally complete this form and submit it to International Programs.

  5. General information on locations outside the U.S.
    • If you would like to talk to someone who has traveled to your city or country of destination check our Travel Database at http://www.nmsu.edu/~ip/pages/travel/database/travel_main.html. This web page is sorted by country and city to determine if any NMSU faculty or staff have traveled there recently.
    • Upon your return consider adding your name and country information to the database. Submit information regarding your trip to cip-adm@nmsu.edu.
