Education Abroad

This office helps NMSU students incorporate international study, research, internship, and service experiences into the NMSU college experience. Start your adventure today!

 

 

International Student and Scholar Services

ISSS supports international students through the various stages of the experience at NMSU. This office also handles all of the visa support for both international students and visiting scholars.


Confucius Institute

This office carries out a variety of activiities and programs for increasing awareness and understanding of Chinese language and culture through education, performances, seminars, and outreach. Scholarship information:

 


The Center for Latin American and Border Studies 

The Center promotes excellence in teaching, research, and community outreach on issues concerning Latin America and the US-Mexico border.

 

The Faculty Led International Programs

The FLIP office supports NMSU faculty who want to develop and teach courses abroad.


Office of International Initiatives (OII)

This office works collaboratively with our seven colleges and the Graduate School to develop and implement short-term certificate programs to serve the professional needs of our international colleagues and student cohorts.

 

 

Center for English Language (CELP)

The Center is devoted to ensuring that NMSU serves the needs of it's students requiring intensive English. Hundreds of students each year receive courses in intensive English, as well as academic English, which target non-native English speakers.

Our vision is to achieve a national reputation for delivering a diverse, interdisciplinary education where students understand, and have the ability to live and work with, people of various cultures, histories and languages.  We must graduate individuals with the knowledge and skills to compete globally.  We see a future where every student and faculty member has an international experience, where we prepare the next generation of leaders to meet global challenges.

Our mission is to lead with an international focus in teaching, research, learning, and service, all integral to the mission of New Mexico State University. Our charge is to challenge the imagination, foster ideas, and provide leadership in international education.
