NSF New Mexico-Chihuahua Partnership for Innovation  Conference

The Office of the Dean for International and US-Mexico Border Programs at New Mexico State University (NMSU) carried out its first general forum under the direction of Dr. Everett Egginton Dean of International Programs and PI of the project and Ms. Leticia Vilchis, Coordinator of the Program, with the participation of all the partners and collaborators involved in the project entitled “NSF-New Mexico-Chihuahua Partnership for Innovation Project”.  This forum was carried out at NMSU, Stan Fulton Complex in Las Cruces, on October 27, 2006 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and October 28th at the Institute for Energy and Environment’s SW Region Solar Experiment Station at 9 a.m. to noon, under the direction of Robert Foster program manager of the SW Technology Development Institute and faculty leader of the NMSU team.

This event featured participating Institutions from Mexico and New Mexico, including  the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez,  Centro de Investigación en Materiales Avanzados, Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Campus Chihuahua, New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology; and NMSU.  The forum featured project development related to wind energy systems, zeolite application, GIS real estate software, and reptile gender identification.
