Project:To determine the feasibility and business plan of a spin-off company to fabricate and commercialize a kit that determines the sex gender in reptiles, birds, and mammals using a steroid hormones method.
Technical Summary:Due to the necessity of an effective sex gender determination method for reptiles, birds and mammals, and with the objective of carrying out a better reproduction and adaptation of species; and to increase production of offspring. It was necessary to implement a non-invasive and effective sex gender determination technique for reptiles, birds and mammals. To accomplish the objective, a multidisciplinary team of scientists with various backgrounds in biotechnology and materials were needed.
Objective:The objective of the project is to conduct a feasibility study and business plan to create a spin-off company with the objective of commercializing a patented technology.
