Poster Presentation
Poster Format
- You may use one large page or several smaller ones, just as long as your display does not require more than 4 ft x 8 ft.
- Format of page(s) is your choice.
- Please ensure that your poster is clear and legible.
- Graphics and pictures are desirable and strong encouraged.
- You should convey the project essentials as you see fit
NOTE: If you need power and a small table for a laptop for additional display next to your poster, you must contact (lettyv@nmsu.edu) no later than March 26, 2008.
Required Contents
- Project title
- Project start and end dates
- University affiliation
- Lead institution departments/schools/labs involved
- Names of key individual(s) in partner organizations and their respective affiliations
- Basic goals of the project must be clear
- Outcomes
- Project focus [select one or more of the following]
- stimulating the transformation of knowledge
- meeting the needs of the national innovation enterprise
- enhancing the infrastructure necessary for innovation
- Project content [select one or more of the following]
- biotechnology
- economic development
- entrepreneurship and technological innovation
- environment and natural resources
- energy
- healthcare
- IT/software/communication
- manufacturing
- materials
- nanotechnology
- other (specify)
- Project locus of impact
- local/sub-state regional
- state
- multi-state regional
- national
- international (specify countries)
Posters must include
- Most significant outcome(s)
- Commercialization or other leveraging of the outcomes, if appropriate
- Any significant institutional impact or commitment
- Any significant impact on partner institution(s)
- Relevant publications, if any (maximum two)
- Project publicity in media (TV, newspaper, magazines)

Your poster presentation will be scored; it is recommended that you "practice" using the poster to demonstrate your project.
Judging Criteria
- Conciseness and clarity of the poster
- Completeness of the poster
- Team's knowledge of the subject
- Overall Impression
