Programs & Services

The office of IP coordinates international exchange programs and other study abroad services for students and assists faculty to identify international teaching and research opportunities

International Development & Cooperation

The office of International Programs (OIP) facilities the interests of faculty who wish to participate in international interdisciplinary projects requiring technical assistance and/or training. This can include any or all of the following: 1) project identification, 2) proposal development, and 3) project management. The office handles the administrative details while faculty/academic departments handle the technical aspects of the program/project.
The OIP is also responsible for maintaining and assisting in the development of international cooperative agreements. Sample agreements and an updated list are available

Outreach & Public Service

The OIP adheres to the land-grant philosophy by providing programs and services to the local and campus communities to increase international understanding and awareness. Regionally this includes southern New Mexico and the state of Chihuahua.

U.S.-Mexico Border Programs

The OIP has the major responsibility for coordinating NMSU's involvement along the U.S.-Mexico Border. In addition, the office facilitates and furthers all aspects of cooperation between NMSU and Mexico institutions and individuals including academic research, economic development, and outreach.
