sterling Hwiman Chung, Ph. D. is an Assistant Professor of Advertising at New Mexico State University. He earned his Ph. D. in University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Masters in Michigan State University. He had worked in advertising agency about 6 years and handled several clients ranging from Airline to Computer, as an account executive.His research interest is in e-commerce, with emphasis on interactive advertising strategy. His projects have explored online consumer behavior and media usage, effectiveness of web ads, perceived intrusiveness of rich media, measuring Internet access, and impact of sponsorship on perceived credibility of Web sites.He teaches introduction to advertising, advertising media planning, creativity and copywriting, mass communication research method, and interactive advertising courses in New Mexico State University.Dr. Chung is a member of the American Academy of Advertising (AAA) and the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication ( AEJMC).
