Department of Music
College of Arts and Sciences
REGISTRATION/ADVISING PROCEDURE
- Check the schedule of classes for your registration day.
- Go by the music office and sign for a copy of your advising document.
- Set a time to meet with your advisor - in most cases your advisor is your applied
teacher. Part time faculty and graduate teaching assistants are usually not advisors. If you
are not sure who your advisor is then talk with Eva.
- After you have met with your advisor and you have decided on your course load, then have the advisor sign
your applied music (green) card and your course registration card.
- Bring the signed applied music card and/or course registration card to Eva. All music majors have an
advising hold on their registration, Eva will remove this hold when you show her the advisor's signature.
- Applied music registration must be done through the Dean's office. Other courses may be done via the web.
If you register for applied music first, then a registration card must be turned in with the green card.
If you register via the web first, then an add slip must be turned in with the green card.
