NMSU Trumpet Ensemble Performs at the House of Representives Inauguration

On January 17th, the 47th New Mexico Legislature convened in Santa Fe, NM to recieve Governor Bill Richardson's State of the State Address. Dr. Greg Fant, department head for the NMSU Music Department, conducted the NMSU Trumpet Ensemble as they performed a special arrangement of the Star Spangled Banner. This arrangement was commissioned by Dr. Pancho Romero, NMSU trumpet professor, for this occasion. NMSU composition student Justin Raines is the arranger.

The members of the NMSU Trumpet Ensemble that performed are Daniel Rodriguez (graduate student), Dorothy Lanphere (junior), Alan Lara (junior), and Ellen Schaub (sophomore).
