ConferenceConference participants benefit from networking with students and faculty.

New Mexico AMP will hold its annual Student Research Conference at NMSU's Corbett Center on Sept. 30, 2011. The conference brings together students and faculty from across the state as well as students and teachers from the New Mexico Math, Engineering, Science Achievement, Inc. program (NM MESA). Undergraduate students from other LSAMP programs in the U.S. are also invited to participate and present their research. In addition, the University Research Council (URC) holds its annual research conference in conjunction with the New Mexico AMP Conference. The conference serves as a vehicle for student and faculty networking and as a forum for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) students, instructors, and industry professions to share information, ideas, experiences, and advice and provides an opportunity for students to present their research and develop professionally.

New Mexico Community College Student Attendance:

Community College students in New Mexico are invited to attend a pre-conference workshop on Thursday, Sept. 29 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and a post-conference workshop on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Institutional Coordinators at each New Mexico community college campus have student and faculty applications available.
