About the Conference
The New Mexico Alliance for Minority Participation (New Mexico AMP) will host its annual statewide student research conference on the campus of New Mexico State University on October 1-3, 2009*. The conference will bring together students and faculty from the state's colleges and universities as well as students and teachers from the New Mexico Math, Engineering, Science Achievement, Inc. program (NM MESA). Undergraduate students from other NSF LSAMP programs are also invited to participate and present their research.
*Please Note: All student research presentations, speakers, special events & awards are October 2. Pre-conference (October 1) and post-conference (October 3) workshops/seminar are designed for New Mexico Community College students only.
New Mexico AMP conferences focus on giving students the inspiration and tools needed to set and achieve personal and educational goals. Conference workshops are designed to provide information and strategies for students to use in their academic and career planning. In past years, workshops have covered topics such as career exploration, preparing undergraduate research presentations, and preparing for graduate school.
