There are activities that take place through out the day of the Conference, including student presentations, motivational speakers, guest presenters, workshops, and networking opportunities.
The highlight of each conference is the undergraduate student research presentations, which take place throughout the day. In these oral and poster presentation sessions, students share their research findings, and they have the opportunity to compete with other presenters for awards. The presentations are judged competitively by a panel of professionals and faculty members.
Other conference activities include the NMSU University Research Council (URC) Poster Presentations. This event provides an excellent opportunity to network with faculty and to learn more about the research. Also, the conference provides workshops that are relevant to the specific needs of university and community college students. The New Mexico Math, Engineering, Science Achievement, Inc. (New Mexico MESA) program offers workshops for their high school participants.
Specific activities are detailed in the Conference Agenda and on this site, as plans are finalized.
