NMSU was founded in 1888 and is the land grant university of New Mexico. It pursues quality teaching, and is a Carnegie Research University (RU/H). The School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management was founded in 1988 and has approximately 420 students with 7 full time faculty. The School of HRTM is located in the College of Agriculture and Home Economics but jointly reports to the NMSU College of Business. The growth and visibility of the program has attracted additional resources and positions. The School ranks in the top 25 baccalaureate hospitality education programs nationally. Qualifications: Doctorate degree ( by hire date) with at least one of the candidate’s degrees in Hospitality and/or Tourism Management with an appropriate record of teaching, research and university service. It is preferred the candidate have experience in the hospitality industry
