Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) 12 month

Qualifications: EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS-
• Ph.D. or Ed.D, with at least one degree in Family Resource Management, Family Economics, Family & Consumer Sciences Education or closely related field.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS-
• Basic understanding of the Cooperative Extension Service with Extension experience preferred.
• Ability to provide leadership and coordination with county agents in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating educational programs related to family resource management.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships, to use oral and written communication skillfully; to work with people from varied ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. (NM has large Hispanic and Native American populations.)
• Ability to interpret family resource management research findings and communicate to Extension county faculty, staff and lay audiences.
• Ability to solicit and manage grants
• Ability to adapt to changing and wide-ranging technologies.
• Willing to work varied hours and travel as necessary.
Examples of Duties: • Provide statewide leadership for Extension educational programs in family resource management.
• Maintain relationships with national and state organizations in family resource management.
• Interpret current research findings and develop written and other media to support educational programs for • adult and youth audiences.
• Collaborate with county faculty in developing, implementing and assessing programs.
• Collaborate with other state agencies in delivery of family resource management education.
• Provide training for Extension staff on new and current family resource management information and effective non-formal educational processes, program implementation and evaluation.
• Provide support to functions and activities of home department, college and university.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Administratively responsible to the Extension Home Economics Department Head
