| Qualifications: | 1. Director of Student Teaching- College Assistant Professor Req # 2008002128
Required qualifications- 1) earned doctoral degree in education, emphasis in teacher education; 2) evidence of ability for leadership, collaborative and managerial skills, especially with school communities; 3) technological abilities (e. g. word processing; webct; spreadsheets) and academic writing; 4) experience with culturally diverse student and adult populations; and, 5). 3 years teaching experience Prek-12. Preferred qualifications- Bilingual (Spanish/English). Position description- Full time, 9 month position working with the Associate Department Head for Teacher Licensure. Duties would include- assisting with the student teaching programs (early childhood; elementary; secondary); Alternative Licensure Program; working with the Office of Teacher Candidate Preparation; administrative responsibilities; teaching university courses; supervising student teachers; working with distance teacher education programs. Travel involved. 2. Assistant Director of Elementary Teacher Education. College Instructor/Assistant Professor. Req # 2008002755 Required qualifications- (1). Earned MA degree in education emphasis in one of the following content areas- (bilingual; math; social studies; reading/literacy; learning technologies); (2). 5 years teaching experience at the elementary level (grades 1-6); (3). technological abilities (e. g. word processing; webct; spreadsheets) and academic writing, and, (4). experience with culturally diverse student and adult populations. Preferred qualifications- earned doctorate in education, emphasis in teacher education; bilingual. Position description- Full time, 9 month administrative position working with the Director of Elementary Education.
