| Qualifications: | 9 month tenure track position.
An MFA in jewelry/metalsmithing or related field; college-level teaching experience; commitment to teaching and scholarship; ability to teach and advise all levels of undergraduate and graduate students. Request is for an artist/designer immersed in interdisciplinary practice and critical methodology that transcends materials, spaces and time to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in jewelry/metalsmithing with additional expertise in 3D modeling or installation/relational aesthetics and/or performance. Familiarity with contemporary art history and art/craft theory a plus. | |||||
| Examples of Duties: | Responsibilities include- building and maintaining a strong and active exhibition record; teaching an annual 3/3 course load (eighteen contact hours per week); oversight and management of all aspects of the metalsmithing studio; advising undergraduate and graduate students; and service to the department, college, university and profession. | |||||
