| Qualifications: | 9 month tenure track position
An MFA in ceramics; college-level teaching experience; commitment to teaching and scholarship; ability to teach and advise all levels of undergraduate and graduate students; proficiency in teaching a wide range of aesthetic, conceptual and technical aspects of ceramics. Applicant must be an accomplished, versatile artist with expertise in contemporary approaches, concepts, techniques and critical issues as they pertain to ceramics and art. Familiarity with contemporary art history and art/craft theory a plus. | |||||
| Examples of Duties: | Responsibilities include, building and maintaining a strong and active exhibition record; teaching an annual 3/3 course load (eighteen contact hours per week); management and oversight of all aspects of the ceramics studio; advising undergraduate and graduate students; and service to the department, college university and profession. | |||||
