| Qualifications: | ACADEMIC-
Ph.D. degree with an emphasis in Structural Engineering or related field at the time of appointment. Expected to be a Licensed Professional Engineer or be qualified to become registered within 5 years from employment date | |||||
| Examples of Duties: | Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in structural and civil engineering courses. Expectation to develop and sustain a sponsored research is open, but preference will be given to applicant with interests and expertise in the general areas of building analysis and design, and/or bridge engineering. Conduct research, publish results and participate in service activity for the department, college and university. The successful candidate is expected to provide expertise in at least one of the following areas- finite element modeling, seismic design, structural control, structural repair using composites, non-destructive testing, and structural reliability. | |||||
