A Ph.D. in Political Science or equivalent terminal degree. Degree must be completed before August 2015 and ABD applicants will be considered. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach within the BA in Government and MA in Government. Preferred areas include international relations, security studies, border policy and foreign policy. Candidates must also have a demonstrated commitment to scholarly research and professional service.

|Examples of Duties:||- Teach a combination of graduate and undergraduate courses in political science and international relations; conduct scholarly research; and engage in professional service and outreach to the department, NMSU community, public agencies and other relevant groups.|
