Qualifications: The successful candidate must have an earned Ph.D., or equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. Particular experience is sought in general and applied mechanics of composites and micromechanics with expertise in numerical methods.
Examples of Duties: Duties of the position include teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in the discipline, developing a nationally-funded research program with peer-reviewed dissemination of results, and providing of service to the university and the profession.
