Evidence of a developing program of research with related publications, teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level. Must be qualified for registered nurse licensure in New Mexico. Preference given to those who have demonstrated evidence of- (1) Developing & maintaining an ongoing record of funded research, scholarly publications and experience in doctoral education. (2) Ability to work well with students, faculty and clinical agencies. (3) Teaching using web-based or other distance learning modalities. (4) Interest in collaboration with other departments within the College of Health and Social Services (social work and/or public health) specifically related to United States-Mexico border issues and health disparities. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- National certification in specialties related to medical-surgical, psychiatric/mental health, maternal child (obstetrics or pediatrics); community health; administration; bilingual spanish/english skills. | |||||
| Examples of Duties: | Applicant will teach in area(s) of expertise within undergraduate and graduate programs, advise undergraduate and graduate students, prepare and have funded external support for his/her research, will publish in referred journals; be involved in community outreach projects along the U.S.-Mexico border and our local communities; serve on school, college and university committees; be involved in leadership roles within professional organizations in his/her field of expertise and by the time of making applications for promotion and tenure, will have a national reputation in at least one line of research. At Assistant Professor level applicants with substantial progress toward doctorate will be considered. | |||||
