| Qualifications: | The Department of Theatre Arts at New Mexico State University seeks
applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Theatre. MFA in Acting or Directing required. Ability to teach introductory through advanced courses in acting for both majors and non-majors as well as vocal production. Strongly prefer directing experience, ability to teach course work in musical theatre. Prefer knowledge of period and historic styles. | |||||
| Examples of Duties: | Teach 3-4 courses each semester; direct or act in 1-2 shows in the
department’s production season; maintain an active research portfolio of traditional scholarship and/or professional creative activity; serve on department, college and/or university committees; participate in departmental recruitment, retention and outreach activities; advise students; and other duties deemed appropriate. | |||||
