| Examples of Duties: | The Department of Geological Sciences seeks applications from neotectonicists/thermochronologists who are interested in teaching and research in a geologically and culturally diverse environment in the Rio Grande rift of southern New Mexico. The Department values a balance of teaching and research and is in a phase of restructuring after multiple retirements. We seek individuals interested in building a department that will meet geoscience challenges of the 21st century. We offer the BS and MS degrees in geology. The successful candidate will participate in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, advise undergraduate and graduate research projects, develop and maintain a dynamic research program, contribute service to the department, university, and geologic community, and may participate in outreach programs. | |||||
