| Qualifications: | The successful candidate must have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or a closely related field. Applications are solicited in all areas of materials science. We are especially interested in candidates with expertise relevant to the NMSU interdisciplinary research “clusters” and complement the established research areas in the ME department (micromechanics of materials). | |||||
| Examples of Duties: | • Teach both undergraduate and graduate level courses in mechanical engineering
• Advise both undergraduate and graduate students • Perform original research work, actively seek external research grants, publish research results in scholarly journals and technical conferences • Service to the professional and academic communities • Outreach | |||||
