| Qualifications: | Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years experience required. Must have the ability to direct, evaluate, train, and supervise the work of assigned personnel; develop and maintain effective working relationships; maintain accurate and orderly records; use independent judgment and initiative; organize and direct activities; analyze and evaluate information; think strategically; adjust to rapidly changing circumstances; manage multiple tasks on a daily basis; to effectively fundraise and solicit major gifts from individuals.
Short- and long-range results oriented planning; problem analysis and resolution; report preparation and presentation; public contact and relations; oral and written communication; journalism; marketing; computers, database management, and Internet research. |
| Examples of Duties: | The position will report to the Athletic Director, and indirectly reports to the Associate Vice-President of Alumni and Athletic Outreach. Will supervise, direct, delegate, and evaluate work of assigned staff. The position will work with coaches and department heads on capital campaign and major gifts fundraising and will develop a fundraising plan for Athletics which will include identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewardship of a portfolio of individual prospects. The position will be responsible for providing the athletic director and coaches with plans, information, and support services needed for fund-raising. |
