| Qualifications: | Bachelor of Science degree in hand by hire date in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical area.
•Ability to support a government client with electronic warfare (EW) investigations of radio communication systems. These investigations will consist of evaluations of state of the art signal processing techniques used to enhance radio performance such as error correction techniques, sophisticated modulation techniques (m-ary phase shift keying, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)), spread spectrum techniques such as frequency hopping and direct sequence, 802 series of technologies such as WiMAX and WiMAX like implementations. •Evaluate radio network algorithms such as Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) and Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) in EW environments. •Use Matlab to model and conduct investigations of specific radio designs. •This individual will also learn to use government developed laboratory tools to support EW investigations of radio signal and network processes. Two such tools include Communications EW Instrumentation System (CEWIS), and Communications EW Network Analyzer (CEWNA). |
| Examples of Duties: | Work will be performed in a classified government facility performing hands on analysis of communication systems using test equipment and simulation software. Occasional travel may be required. Technical direction and oversight will be provided by the PSL Task Leads located at NMSU/PSL in Las Cruces, NM and at Ft. Monmouth, NJ. |
