| Qualifications: | MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS-
- Bachelor’s degree (in hand by hire date) in agriculture or closely related field and 3 years of field experience in agricultural research preferred. - Skills in the use of agricultural equipment preferred. - Extensive knowledge of agricultural practices and procedures applicable to the field of agricultural research. - Ability to make sound judgments relative to analytical processes; recognize and appreciate the extreme accuracy essential to agricultural research; assemble and record accurate data; establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates. - Organize agricultural research teams, schedule work, meet deadlines and supervise work assignments. - Already posses a valid Pesticide Applicators license or are willing to obtain one within the first six months of employment. |
| Examples of Duties: | DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES-
- Supervise and coordinate the collection and recording of extremely complex agricultural research data in a laboratory and/or field environment in accordance with established rules, regulations, guidelines, and protocols. - Assist with establishing agricultural study protocols, guidelines and procedures; agricultural tests using proven and experimental techniques; setting up of apparatus, instruments and other equipment. - Maintain statistical, other records and organizational data collected in a particular experiment or unit of research. - Implement or assist in the design or modification of agricultural test equipment. - Compile reports and enter data for review. - May be required to do extensive literature study and report results in written form or verbally. - Other duties as assigned. |
