Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer related field (in hand by hire date) and a minimum of five years of professional experience required. Prefer knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQLServer database or Oracle (configure database, writing SQL, developing and maintaining DTS, stored procedures, backups, scheduled jobs, troubleshoot and resolve any issues); Experience with Banner Xtender Services preferred. Familiarity with document imaging and document retention as applied in a university setting. Must have strong communication and customer service skills; problem solving, technical writing. Experience managing small and large projects from the beginning initiation and analysis phase through deployment/implementation.
Examples of Duties: This position is responsible for a variety of functions, including systems analysis, design, development and maintenance of records management and retention (RMR) processes and systems. This position oversees a portion of the daily administration of the RMR system, database maintenance, hardware maintenance, data storage server maintenance, system backups, system upgrades and assists in server security. Acquire a good working knowledge of state and federal document retention standards, operations, business and department development standards and procedures and all Business and Finance systems. Work closely with RMR Administrator, Systems Analyst, University community and external vendors on development, implementation and maintenance of RMR projects throughout the University. Create and review technical documentation.
