| Qualifications: | Required: Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Learning Technologies, Computer Science or related field in hand by employment date and a minimum or two years of related experience
Knowledge, skills, and abilities: The individual must be able to multitask and have strong oral and written communication skills. Self starter with good people skills. Experience working with schools, health centers, and/or community organizations. Familiarity with course delivery via WebCt and other distance technologies. Ability to teach courses in one or more of the Distance Education Program areas. Knowledge of the local communities in New Mexico. |
| Examples of Duties: | * Recruit students from communities surrounding Carlsbad, New Mexico; some travel involved.
* Coordinate course offerings at NMSU Carlsbad with the NMSU four-year Las Cruces Campus. * Work with branch faculty, staff, and local communities to determine educational program needs. Advise undergraduate and graduate students. * Facilitate and inform students about service support available for Distance Education students such as library, financial aid, and registration assistance. * Travel to NMSU main campus three to four times a year for training and interaction with distance education sponsoring colleges. |
