NMSU Carlsbad is a two-year branch campus of New Mexico State University. Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience that would provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position. Master’s degree in Business, Education, Social Science or related field preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Knowledge of university and department policies and procedures, the college environment, mission and philosophy of the community college, degree requirements. Skills in short- and long-range planning; problem solving; oral and written communication; record-keeping; organizing, analyzing and evaluating information; using independent judgment; using computer applications such as Microsoft Office; and maintaining effective working relationships. Ability to obtain NMSU defensive driver certification within three months of employment, travel throughout Eddy County, work evenings and weekends as needed, and lift up to 60 pounds
Examples of Duties: This position will coordinate dual credit course offerings to ensure compliance with high school, university and state program guidelines; serve as a liaison between secondary schools and university leadership to facilitate communication; and will coordinate services for concurrently enrolled/dual enrolled high school and home schooled students in Eddy County. Services include but are not limited to assisting students with course selection and registration, processing dual credit/early admission forms, arranging for the distribution of textbooks, monitoring student academic progress, collecting and submitting midterm and final grades. Will maintain office records, coordinate meetings with secondary school and university administrators to implement new dual credit programs of study as needed and serve as a liaison between secondary schools and university leadership to facilitate communication. This position will assist the Vice President for Academic Affairs with projects as needed and will also serve on university committees.
