| Qualifications: | Required- Master’s Degree and 5 years experience
Preferred- Doctorate Preferred Experience in higher education environment including some academic administration experience. Experience, knowledge, skills & abilities • Experience in higher education environment including some academic administration experience. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a cooperative work environment. • Experience in budget preparation, analysis, and strategic planning preferred. |
| Examples of Duties: | • Oversee all facets of Albuquerque Center activities
• Coordinate multiple academic programs, and manage the operating budget. • Advise and direct faculty about administrative policies and issues, student advisement procedures, and course scheduling. Provide faculty orientation and motivate faculty to achieve positive student interactions, Assist w/questions and problems & facilitate their resolution. • Supervise assigned staff, including recruiting, hiring, managing, and evaluating technical and administrative staff; insure that student needs for advising and support are met; serve as liaison between Albuquerque Center and NMSU Office of Distance Education; • Collaborate w/Las Cruces campus colleges and departments to develop, implement and evaluate marketing & outreach efforts; continually analyze student credit hour production to determine viability of existing center programs; recruit community partners, conduct information meetings, and represent NMSU at education fairs, corporate and other public events; develop knowledge of higher education programs in the Albuquerque region and evaluate opportunities for future program growth and development at the Albuquerque Center. • Maintain a good working partnership w/NMSU Albuquerque alumni and supporters. • Other duties as assigned |
