Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include an earned Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Administration, Education Development Studies, or related field and five years of experience. Master’s degree in Educational Administration, Education Development Studies, or related field preferred.
Skills in short-and long-range planning, problem analysis and resolution; public contact; report preparation and presentation; public contact and relations; oral and written communication; budget management; curriculum development; proposal development; personnel/program management; systems development; effective organization; marketing. Ability to direct, evaluate, train, and supervise the work of assigned personnel; develop and maintain effective working relationships; maintain accurate and orderly records; use independent judgment and initiative; organize and direct several activities; analyze and evaluate information.
Examples of Duties: Position Summary- Prepare (and assist) under prepared students and adult learners to succeed in college. Develop, implement, and maintain effective, sequential Developmental Education courses and training/service opportunities to benefit students.
Supervise, direct, delegate, and evaluate work of assigned staff; program and activity coordination, resource development; staff training and orientation; data collection and analysis. Complete departmental oversight/management responsibilities; student, faculty and community presentations; budget monitoring and management; formal program evaluation; staff evaluation, employee screening and hiring recommendations. Prepare and develop grant proposals and program initiatives and perform related duties as required.
