| Qualifications: | Bachelors Degree in applicable field directly related to the duties of the position
Ten (10) years of related experience SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS- US Citizenship is required; the ability to obtain a security clearance is required Knowledge of- University and department policies and procedures; principles and practices of organization and administration; principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation; and intellectual property identification and development. Skills in- Short- and long-range planning; problem analysis and resolution; report preparation and presentation; public contact and relations; oral and written communication; business analysis; and intellectual property identification and development. | Examples of Duties: | Primary responsibilities include the research and analysis of business opportunities, consistent with strategic plans of PSL aerospace initiatives and related Arrowhead Center programs; evaluates projects through financial feasibility studies, market research, and planning; leads technology evaluations and demonstrations; develops strategies with senior personnel to move business units related to aerospace to sustainable enterprises incorporating capabilities from other units within NMSU as appropriate.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Supervise, direct, delegate, and evaluate work of assigned staff Lead and administer all business development affairs to include budgeting, planning, and business development for the 21st Century Aerospace Responsible for developing sustainable 21st Century programs within the Aerospace domain and collaboration with Arrowhead Center/NMSU in its university-wide leadership of aerospace technology commercialization initiatives Lead aerospace related product and application development; and related sales, business, and customer development; Provide direction, development, and leadership of proposals Develop market and revenue strategies Lead strategic partnerships with public and private organizations Interface with existing and potential customers to identify requirements Analyze major technology trends and technology sector conditions Formulate direction of new externally sponsored research and development contracts Prepare and monitor budgets Develop corporate strategy Lead technology demonstration and validation activities related to UAS and other state-of-the-art technologies Support selected programs within the Arrowhead Center. Support maintaining customer satisfaction on all programs, ensuring schedules are met, and contract budgets are performed within or below targets Perform related duties as required |
