| Qualifications: | Ph.D. in Biology/Evolutionary Biology recommended.
Experience with genome analysis, bioinformatic tools, and 454 sequence technology is desirable. |
| Examples of Duties: | Supervise, direct, delegate, and evaluate work of assigned staff
Perform experimental evolution assays on Vibrio bacteria. Data entry and analysis on large sequence database using bioinformatic tools. Grant and manuscript preparation, Management of databases protocols, research for new protocols, Research and develop new methods for studying experimentally evolved bacterial strains, Travel as part of collaborations with other laboratories to conduct experiments related to grant goals. Perform related duties as required. |
