| Qualifications: | Bachelor’s Degree (in hand by hire date) in molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, plant pathology or related field and three years experience in plant tissue culture, plant propagation or greenhouse management. Successful completion of pesticide applicators training within three months of hire is required. Experience in microbiology or molecular biology is desired. |
| Examples of Duties: | - Perform plant transformation with tobacco and Arabidopsis
- Maintain plant lines used in lab research; growth chamber and greenhouse facilities to assure supply of plants for lab research; orderly, accurate and complete records of research. - Perform directed research in support of lab goals; Perform laboratory and greenhouse maintenance; related duties as required. - Prepare and present written and oral reports. - Utilize effective verbal and written communication to support overall laboratory team effort. |
