| Qualifications: | Required- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (in hand by hire date) and one year of related experience.
Knowledge of- University and department policies and procedures; principles and practices of organization and administration; principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation; electronic and digital theory; FCC rules and regulations; Broadcast systems and equipment maintenance; extensive computer knowledge; RF theory; video production equipment maintenance; principles of supervision and training. Skills in- Short-and long-range planning; problem analysis and resolution; report preparation and presentation; public contact and relations; oral and written communication; using specialized test equipment; short range planning; problem analysis and resolution. Ability to- Direct, evaluate, train, and supervise the work of assigned personnel; develop and maintain effective working relationships; maintain accurate and orderly records; use independent judgment and initiative; organize and direct activities; analyze and evaluate information. |
| Examples of Duties: | Supervise, direct, delegate, and evaluate work of assigned staff
Daily maintenance of broadcast equipment Daily planning and organizing of scheduled productions Daily communication with General Manager and other staff members regarding production and engineering needs of the Special Production Unit Training of production staff on use of equipment Pre-production, production, and post-production of actual broadcast Review equipment performance and request additional equipment and supplies as needed to ensure the quality of the broadcast productions Perform related duties as required |
