Fulfills the 21st Century Aerospace function related to developing new business for and within the PSL department and for acquiring contracts related to new business areas.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field with preference given to Marketing, Business or Technical Communications plus seven (7) year's of related experience.

Knowledge of- University and department policies and procedures; principles and practices of organization and administration; principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation; knowledge of marketing principles, communication techniques; research and analysis methods; document design; subcontracting procedures.

Skill in- Short- and long-range planning; problem analysis and resolution; report preparation and presentation; public contact and relations; counseling.

Ability to- Direct, evaluate, train, and supervise the work of assigned personnel; communicate effectively in written and oral form; develop and maintain effective working relationships; maintain accurate and orderly records; use independent judgment and initiative; organize and direct several activities; analyze and evaluate information; utilize counseling skills effectively; maintain confidentiality; operate a computer.

Examples of Duties: This position will be responsible for developing various programs within the Space & Aerospace Laboratory at PSL, including unmanned aircraft systems, scientific balloons, telemetry, and autonomous systems. Examples of development activities are- support externally-sponsored grants; work closely with Aerospace staff to understand objectives and priorities, design, develop, maintain and produce written materials; interface with customers to identify requirements; conduct market research; develop and coordinate proposals; develop strategic and tactical plans; interface with key stakeholders and stakeholder organizations and prepare briefings.
