| Conditions: | **Coordinator, Instructional Technology, NMSU-Alamogordo Campus. This 1.0 (full-time), 12-month position is funded by both institutional and grant monies through September 30, 2009. The position converts to a fully institutional position as of October 1, 2009. The incumbent reports to the Associate Campus Academic Officer / Director of Title V. |
| Qualifications: | • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Technology or related field (in hand by hire date);
• A minimum of three (3) years of full-time related professional experience; • Strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively with others; • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities; • Distance learning and online teaching experience (Examples- WebCT, Blackboard, Desire to Learn platforms, others) • Instructional technology experience in community college / university setting desirable |
| Examples of Duties: | Coordinate and conduct instructional technology support programs and workshops for distance learning, curriculum design, and best practices for online teaching and learning; collaborate with faculty, professional staff, and IT staff in the design and development of effective methods to ensure optimal performance for all instructional systems; assist faculty in the conversions of existing courses for online delivery; evaluate and test online instructional software and systems, and make specific recommendations to faculty and NMSU-A administration regarding enhancements to current system(s); train faculty, staff, and support personnel on presentation equipment / software; develop and deliver workshops, seminars, and one-on-one training for faculty in effective online teaching and learning. Provide online platform course templates to faculty; work collaboratively with the Activity Director and Associate Campus Academic Officer to ensure goals and objectives are met as scheduled; other duties as assigned. |
