Qualifications: REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-
• Bachelors in Accounting, Business or related field.
• 5 to 7 years related experience.

Knowledge of- University and department policies and procedures; principles and practices of organization and administration; ability to research and interpret university, federal and state regulations regarding grants and contract; principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation; university operations and management; knowledge in fiscal management, accounting and budgetary theories, principles and practices; university environment; state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to college budgets, accounting practices, and contract management.
Skills in- Short- and long-range planning; problem analysis and resolution; report preparation and presentation; public contact and relations; oral and written communication; research methods; multi-task and time management skills.

Examples of Duties: POSITION SUMMARY- Responsible for the financial operations and resources of the College of Health and Social Services. Ensure operations are in compliance with University administrative policies and procedures and other state and federal regulatory requirements. Responsible for the business management, budget oversight and reporting, including analysis, funds allocation and expenditure approval. Serve as College level liaison for all internal and external audit inquiries. Serve a prominent role in strategic and business planning activities of the College.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-
• Supervise, delegate, and evaluate work of assigned staff.
• Provide fiscal oversight of instructional and research programs, space administration, and organizational and operational improvements.
• Assist with establishment and maintenance of financial planning and other decision making analysis documentation.
• Provide budget oversight, including budget recommendations, monitoring, verifying, reporting and reconciliation of expenditure for unrestricted and restricted funds.
• Oversee business related functions, including review and establishment of internal College procedures, internal controls and creating/maintaining procedural documentation.
• Develop and oversee a mechanism for appropriate review of inputs to the financial system, as well as a mechanism for regular reconciliation.
• Prepare reports and analysis setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions as indicated or requested.
• Coordinate the planning, implementation and operation of non-routine activities within the College.
• Provide budgetary assistance, coordination and oversight for sponsored projects, including pre-award and post-award processes.
• Reconcile Indirect Cost Recovery received and oversee allocation of the Indirect Cost Return to the departments.
• Assist faculty and staff by providing oversight of financial and business matters.
• Serve as an interface between College and University administration for financial related matters.
• Serve as an interface between College and University administration for financial related matters.
• Maintain required business and financial records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare, review and approve daily transactions, such as- ID Vouchers, Journal Vouchers, labor Redistribution Forms, Direct Pay Requests, and Deposits.
• Instruct and train in methods and procedures.
• Perform related duties as required.
