Qualifications: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree (in hand by hire date) in Public Health, Law, Policy or Business Administration and three years of related experience. Master’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of US southwest cultures, health disparities, and federal funding agencies policies on extramural support.
• Skills in multi-institution program administration.
Examples of Duties: RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervise, direct, delegate, and evaluate work of assigned staff.
• Responsible for the day to day operations of the region 4 BMAP
• Ensures that the BMaP is in compliance with national programmatic goals.
• Submits annual reports to assure compliance with funding agent.
• Responsible for creating and submitting all budgets and reports with funding agent.
• Makes presentations on program to universities and collaborators.
• Designs and facilitates all BMaP workshops and conferences.
• Maintains weekly communication with region 4 GMaP using teleconference and web conference tools.
• Arrange all teleconferences and web-based communication for members of region 4 BMaP committees and sub-committees.
• Compile BMaP resources and needs portfolio.
• Maintain productive relationships with cancer centers, universities, public health agencies, clinics etc throughout region 4 (NM, OK, CO, TX, AZ).
• Participate in all region 4 BMaP committee meetings.
• Assist all region 4 BMaP members in the development of requests for proposals (RFP) to enhance biospecimen/biobanking resources.
• Perform related duties as required.
