Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree and at least 7 years of successful and progressive experience in a university
setting, including at least 4 years of successful leadership and management
experience as a university financial aid director or associate director. Masters degree is
preferred. The individual must demonstrate a proven ability to effectively manage and lead a
complex and diverse organization, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and
must have a strong commitment to student and staff success. In addition, the candidate must
demonstrate successful operational and financial management skills.

Extensive knowledge of Federal Financial Aid Regulations, use of current technology, data analysis, long/short term planning; Banner SCT experience preferred
Examples of Duties: The Director is responsible for leading and managing 22 full-time staff, several part-time staff and student employees. The broad range of responsibilities includes timely and accurate awarding and disbursing of over $150 million in various aid programs. The Director provides guidance, direction and makes decisions relevant to all the primary functions of the office including but not limited to Federal, State and Institutional funds management, systems management, audits, program reviews and compliance. In addition, the Director will handle personnel matters, oversee and manage several budgets, counsel students and parents regarding eligibility criteria for all aid programs, coordinate reporting responsibilities with all funding sources, and will collaborate with campus colleagues to meet established University and enrollment goals and objectives
