| Qualifications: | QUALIFICATIONS-
- Master’s degree (in hand by hire date) in Entomology, Electrical Engineering, Agronomy or related discipline with at least three years experience. - Experience with common plant molecular biology techniques including cloning, PCR, sequencing, protein and enzyme analysis techniques including western analysis and reporter gene assays. - Experience with Agrobacterium infiltration and/or plant transformation preferred. |
| Examples of Duties: | RESPONSIBILITIES;
- Perform directed research in support of the lab mission and goals. Current areas of focus include analysis of pest and disease resistance genes in transient assays and transgenic plants, gene expression studies including promoter analysis and protein expression and localization studies, other related work to support lab mission and goals. - Maintain accurate research records; perform analysis and review of experimental results; prepare tables, graphs and other written matter for review, presentation or publication. - Assist with preparation of articles and reports for publication; preparing research project and grant proposals. - Conduct extensive literary research. - Exercise supervision over personnel as assigned. |
