Salary: Commensurate with qualifications. Position is a 12 month grant funded posiiton with benefits. Continued employment is dependent upon funding renewal on a yearly basis.
Special Conditions:
Qualifications: Required- Applicants must possess an MSW degree from a CSWE accredited program, have at least 3 years of professional social work experience and be licensed by the state of New Mexico or eligible for license at the LMSW level.

Preferred- Professional staff conference/workshop planning and coordination experience, curriculum development experience, knowledge of Children, Youth & Families Department (CYFD) or child welfare practice experience, grant writing, supervisory/administrative experience and Spanish language fluency.
Examples of Duties: The project coordinator will be responsible for aspects of the project’s training work plan as outlined in the Title IV-E Joint Powers Agreement and the Title IV-B Statement of Work between CYFD and NMSU. These responsibilities include- curriculum development, develop and maintain an effective relationship with CYFD staff in the coordination of training activities; develop a training plan in conjunction with CYFD; organize and implement the training plan; take responsibility for training site selection and procurement; negotiating and overseeing contracts with trainers; preparing and organizing training material and packets; recording of CEU’s; provide on-site responsibility for registration and implementation of training activities during training programs and perform other duties as assigned. The project coordinator will be directly accountable and responsible to the Family and Child Welfare Training & Research Project Director.
