TIMOTHY CLEVELAND, Professor (Ph.D., The Johns Hopkins University, 1986). Dr. Cleveland's research interests include the philosophy of mind, contemporary metaphysics and the philosophy of language. DANNY SCOCCIA, Associate Professor (Ph.D., University of California at San Diego, 1985). Dr. Scoccia's research interests include ethical theory, philosophy of law and social and political philosophy. He teaches courses in applied or substantive ethics, the philosophy of religion and the philosophy of the social sciences as well as in his area of specialization. JEAN-PAUL VESSEL, Assistant Professor (Ph.D., University of Massachusetts-Amherst, 2003). Dr. Vessel's research interests include moral philosophy, metaethics, philosophy of language and metaphysics. LORI KELEHER BURSUM, Assistant Professor (Ph.D., University of Maryland, 2007). Dr. Keleher Bursum’s main research interests include ethics and moral philosophy with a special interest in international ethics and economic development. She also teaches courses in ancient philosophy, medieval philosophy, and philosophy and feminism.
MARK WALKER, Assistant Professor, The Richard L. Hedden Endowed Chair (Ph.D., Australian National University, 1994). Dr. Walker's teaching and research interests include ethics, epistemology, philosophy of religion and philosophy of science. His current primary research interest is in ethical issues arising out of emerging technologies, e.g., genetic engineering, advanced pharmacology, artificial intelligence research and nanotechnology.
JENNIFER NOONAN, College Assistant Professor, (Ph.D., Massachussetts Institute of Technology, 1998). Dr. Noonan's research interests include metaphysics the philosophy of the cognitive sciences and the philosophy of language. She also teaches courses in feminism and the history of 20th Century philosophy.
RICHARD KETCHUM, Professor Emeritus (Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania) Dr. Ketchum's specializations include Plato, Presocratics, and Epistemology.
PAUL T. SAGAL, Professor Emeritus (Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania) Dr. Sagal's interests are in Analytic Philosophy, History of Philosophy, and Medieval Philosophy.
