The Procurement Card (PCard) system implemented by New Mexico State University (NMSU) is designed to simplify your procurement needs. This online system automates the process, from review to approval, reducing turnaround time for approvals and payment of charges, and eliminating bottlenecks and paper shuffling between departments.
The PCard system routes transactions for electronic review to the cardholder, approver, and fiscal monitor, with automatic weekly emails sent as notification of pending transactions. Once log in to the PCard system, cardholders, approvers, and fiscal monitors can:
- change the default account no.
- change account codes
- statements of purpose/description
- add comments
- split transactions between two or more indexes or account codes for PCard purchases
Overall purchasing activities can be reviewed as reports, giving the user greater control and better understanding of the purchasing process. Let PCard work for you!
