Student Trip Insurance is an excess medical policy that covers individuals participating in university sponsored events. To obtain Student Trip Insurance, you need to fill out the Student Trip Insurance Memo and either fax or mail it to Central Purchasing. Student Trip Insurance is paid quarterly. (January - April, April,-July, July - October, October - January) on the 24th of the third month. Student Trip Insurance can be obtained after the fact, but must be submitted by the quarterly cutoff. (ie. If the trip is taken on March 15th, the memo must be to submitted by April 24th.) If you have already submitted the Memo to Central Purchasing and the trip is cancelled, please submit a memo to Central Purchasing with your department, the trip destination and the dates and indicate that the trip has been canceled.
