Rental

The Outdoor Equipment Center can outfit you with a wide variety of outdoor gear including backpacks, tents, sleeping bags and much more.

Outdoor gear is also available on a first come first serve basis. There is no reservation procedure.

Deposit: Please bring your NMSU ID card and $10.00 cash deposit for equipment rentals. Deposit is refundable when the equipment is brought back clean, dry, undamaged, and on time.

User Responsibility: to keep costs low, users must take reponsibility to help maintain equipment. This means that users are expected to inspect equipment at check out and note on the check out form any equipment that is in less than good condition. Users who fail to return equipment on time and in the same condition as stated on the check out form will be fined. Failure to pay fines will result in a loss of check out privileges, possible exclusion from other recreational programs, and potential University disciplinary action.

New Policy on Mountain bikes
 We now charge a $5.00 fee for no suspension bikes, and a $10.00 fee for hard tails, in addition to   security deposit.
