New Mexico Farmer's Markets

Preserving our agricultural land and providing food for a healthy life, New Mexico Farmer's Markets can be found throughout the Land of Enchantment. New Mexico Farmer's Markets support small-scale agricultural producers, provide low-risk start up for small enterprises and creates a strong economy. Many of our markets include a crafts component, live music and entertainment on a weekly basis. Some of our markets are seasonal, while others will run year round, with crops from indoor growers, arts and crafts providers, artisans and entertainers. Supporting a local farmer's market is helping to grow a strong economy and a healthy family.

  • New Mexico Farmer's Markets Association - a very informative Web site with listings of Farmer's Markets around the state, information about starting a market, how to be a vendor, how to price your products, a harvest calendar, and about becoming a member of the association.
  • Capitan's Farmer's Market - working to generate more tourism revenue for the state and to help New Mexico farmers and ranchers boost their income and preserve their enterprises. This market is located at Capitan Country Emporium, 115 Smokey Bear Blvd., across the street from the Smokey Bear Historical Park. Capitan, NM (505) 354-7021.
